Open Juried Show
March & April, 2012
Open to all visual artists and offering generous cash prizes, the
Westlake
Village Art Guild’s annual Open Juried Show has become one of the most
significant events in the area. Last year’s competition was exceptional with
350 pieces of art submitted by 125 artists.
Winners are certain to be among the best in this region as work will be
evaluated by 3 judges. Applications will be mailed with the January 2012
Newsletter and be available at

Student Award Show
March & April, 2012
Sponsored by the Westlake Village Art Guild and hosted by the City of
Agoura Hills’ Cultural Arts Council, the 2012 Student Awards Juried Show is
open to all high school juniors and seniors residing in or enrolled in a
Greater Conejo Valley high school. The purpose of the Show is to encourage
and recognize, in a meaningful way, the dedicated teachers and talented
students that enrich all communities in the region.
Show categories include: 1) two dimensional fine art, 2) photography and
digitally created work, and 3) sculpture, ceramics, glass and 3-D. The entry
deadline is February 15, 2012. As “juried” show, only the strongest entries,
as determined by the jury, will be invited to hang on April 2, 2012 and
compete for ribbons and cash awards.
The Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held on April 20, 2012 from
4 – 7 p.m. at the historic Reyes Adobe, 30400 Rainbow Crest Drive, Agoura
Hills, CA 91301.

WIDE OPEN
Photography & Digital
Open Juried Art Show
April
15, 2012
Open to all photographers and artists who create works derived from
photographic processes, the third annual Conejo Valley WIDE OPEN
Photography & Digital Art Show will be held during the month of June at
the Thousand Oaks Community Gallery, 2331-A Borchard Road, Newbury Park,
CA 91320.
Entry forms are available at the Thousand Oaks Community Gallery with
entry fees dependent upon entry date. Applications postmarked by
February 28, 2012 will enjoy the lowest entry fees. Postmark deadline
for entry is April 15, 2012 with acceptance notifications announced on
or before May 1, 2012. Take-in of accepted works will be June 1, 2012.
As a juried show, only the strongest entries, as determined by the jury
based upon digital images submitted, will be invited to hang at the
Thousand Oaks Community Gallery in June 2012. At that time, the Show
will be judged and the Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held on
Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 3 – 5 PM.

from the Ventura County Camera Club, the TOPCC – Photo SIG, and the
