Serving Conejo Valley Artists for 40 Years
The Westlake Village Art Guild is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to further interest and knowledge, self-development, inspiration, stimulation and exchange of ideas in the field of visual arts. Founded in 1969, its member base is comprised of artists and others who not only admire art but have an interest in promoting art education and appreciation in our community.

What We Do
The WVAG's primary mission is to promote art awareness and arts education in our community. As part of that mission, we:

  • Offer our members opportunities to exhibit their work in competitions and at local venues.
  • Host Dinner/Demo meetings that are open to the public and feature demonstrations by prominent artists or presentations on art-related topics.
  • Publish an award winning Art Bulletin.
  • Offer Workshops.
  • Sponsor an annual Members Show & Open Juried Show.

One of our more important goals is to help encourage high school students to study art by sponsoring an annual Student Awards Show, which is open only to graduating Conejo Valley and surrounding area high-school seniors.

This show offers young artists the chance to compete and win cash awards to help pursue their artistic education and dreams. Prize money is awarded to the young artists whose work is judged best in several categories, including, but not limited to, drawing, painting, sculpture, among others. The Student Show also offers many of the young artists their first opportunity to compete in a "real" art show and to hang their work in a "real" gallery.
