Founded in 1969, the Westlake Village Art Guild is a nonprofit organization comprised of artists and others who not only admire art but have an interest in promoting art education and appreciation in our community.

What We Do
The Westlake Village Art Guild offers its members opportunities to exhibit their work in competitions and at local venues. Our dinner meetings are open to the public and feature demonstrations by prominent artists or presentations on art-related topics. We publish a bulletin, sponsor workshops. We also promote arts awareness through our annual Open Juried Show, which is open to all local artists.

Bob Engel - September 2, 2008 Demo Artist
The Westlake Village Art Guild's September 2, 2008 Dinner/Demo Meeting will feature Bob Engel. After graduating from Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art, Bob started his career as a pictorial illustrator in the toy industry. That led to inventing toys and managing creative design teams. He was at Mattel Toys for ten years, leaving as a principal designer. Over the years, Bob has continued to paint and draw. His subjects have included landscapes, still life, seascapes, portraits and recently, bob finished the first painting in a new series, “ In and Around Town”.

5th Annual Thousand Oaks Arts Festival
September 20 & 21, 2008

			Artist Demos Throughout the year highly acclaimed artists share their experience, expertise and special techniques at our dinner meetings.
